Based on the principle that both individual and social development depend upon developments in philosophy, art and science, the aim of the Association of Philosophy Art & Science is to contribute to the development of philosophy, art and social science in Turkey and around the world, to be involved in philosophical, artistic and scientific studies, to create occasions and conditions which enable interaction, communication and dialogue in and between philosophy, art and social science, to perform research, to publish and to organize meetings, conferences, symposiums, educational seminars and workshops in philosophy, art and social science. The association has four main projects and activites: “Philosophy in Assos”, “The Academy of Halicarnassus”, “Philosophy and Literature in the Islands” and “The Zigana Summit”. Another main project of the association is an annual journal which would publish texts of philosophy, art and social science. The Association of Philosophy Art & Science was founded and established by Professor Örsan K. Öymen, who also serves as President of the association.
