The academy is located on the South Aegean coast of Turkey, in Bodrum, which is the ancient city of Halicarnassus and the home town of Herodotus, the first historian on record. The academy conducts international and national educational seminars, symposiums, conferences and work-shops in philosophy as well as in arts such as literature, music, painting, sculpture, photography, cinema, theater and in social sciences such as history, sociology, political science, psychology and anthropology. Both basic and advanced knowledge on various subject matters in philosophy, the arts and the social sciences as well as on interdisciplinary issues is transmitted and taught to the participants by international and national experts and academicians. Each participant is allowed to participate in as many sessions in any area she/he chooses. This allows them to attain a multi-dimensional knowledge on different areas and disciplines. The academy is activated once a year. Sessions are in English and Turkish.
